Kind Words From Families
Stories Shared Along the Journey
“We cannot say enough wonderful things about WordPlay with Jen. Jen currently sees two of my children. From day one, she has been warm, welcoming, and truly invested in our entire family.
Jen is so much more than a speech therapist. She truly understands what makes each child unique and thoughtfully tailors her treatment to meet individual needs. She has a lovely home studio stocked with engaging toys to meet all sorts of interests! Her recommendations for at-home exercises to reinforce what she focuses on during sessions go far beyond speech - she supports play strategies, helps enhance focus and attention span, and encourages a love of reading and imaginative play.
She is incredibly accommodating with scheduling and consistently communicates progress, insights, and practical ways we can reinforce learning at home. We always feel informed and supported.
Most importantly, Jen genuinely loves my children - and they feel it. They are so happy to see her and absolutely light up around her. She makes them feel seen, valued, and appreciated, which is priceless. We are beyond grateful to have her in our lives and cannot recommend WordPlay with Jen highly enough. So lucky we have a resource like WordPlay with Jen local in Peachtree Corners!”

“I have had the pleasure of working with Jen in several different ways over the years. She worked with my son when he was in preschool over 13 years ago and also included him in her WordPlay group, which he truly enjoyed. As a parent, it meant so much to see how comfortable and engaged the kids were with her—she has a natural way of connecting with children that makes learning feel fun and safe.
I’ve also worked with her professionally as a daycare teacher when one of her clients was in my classroom, and she has even come to our daycare to read to the children. She is great at what she does, easy to work with, and very approachable for both kids and parents. I also love that she works out of her home rather than a clinical office—it creates a warm, welcoming environment that really helps kids thrive. I would highly recommend her to any parent looking for a skilled and compassionate speech therapist.

“Jen is undoubtedly one of the kindest people to work with. She's so kind, patient, and soft spoken with each of her kids and works diligently towards meeting all of their goals. I've worked with many speech pathologists before, and Jen is, without a doubt, the best I have seen. She's worked with children with a variety of speech impairments and disabilities and has much experience in accommodating their needs. She comes up with so many engaging ways to keep her kids involved in exercises and activities while actively working toward the goals they're trying to meet. She makes sure that the activities are unique to her kids interests which only makes them more excited to see her and work on their speech, and that's shown by the extensive progress they make while working with her Jen works with parents equally well. She always loves to hear their stories and learn more about them and their family. She's always accommodating and empathetic to them and their needs and makes them feel as supportive. All of the parents of her kids love her, and she actively keeps them involved and updated on the kids' progress and ways they can help their kids at home too. One of the most remarkable things about Jen is not just how well and diligently she works with kids and the progress they make with her help, but just how genuinely kind and empathetic she is. While working with her, she asked a lot about my own background with speech and loved to hear more about my journey. Even now that I no longer work with her, she continues to reach out, give me advice, and encourage and inspire me. If there were any speech pathologist to choose or work with, I know that Jen would be the best to go to. The progress she makes with her kids is incredible, and her compassion and dedication to her kids, their parents, and anyone she works with is what sets her apart.
